SKYN MD Policies

At SKYN MD, every policy is designed to protect your safety, honor your time, and ensure the best results from our transformation-based care. Please review carefully before booking.

General Booking Policies
  • Eligibility: Treatments cannot be performed if you are pregnant (or think you may be), nursing, undergoing fertility treatments, or preparing for fertility treatments.
  • Medical Disclosure: Please notify us of any conditions such as heart disease, thyroid disorder, diabetes, cancer, skin disease, or anything else your provider should be aware of. Certain medications, recent procedures (chemical peels, microneedling, surgery, Accutane within the past 6–12 months), or active infections may also make you temporarily ineligible.
  • Injectables: For your safety, injectable treatments should not be scheduled within 2 weeks of vaccinations, dental procedures, or while experiencing an active infection.
  • Age Restrictions: Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian for laser hair removal or skin tightening services. Minors are not eligible for injectables.
  • Results Disclaimer: The practice of medicine is not an exact science. Results vary by individual and cannot be guaranteed.
Financial Policies
  • Refunds: Because each treatment is customized, all treatments, deposits, and pre-paid packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Retail: All product and retail sales are final — no refunds or exchanges.
  • Installments: Installment payments are managed by PatientFi, Cherry or Care Credit Missed or late payments are handled directly through their system.
Cancellation, No-Show & Late Arrival
  • Cancellation: Appointments canceled within 48 hours incur a fee of 50% of the service cost for lasers and $100 for injectables (Tox, Fillers and Biostimulators) 
  • No-Show: Missed appointments without notice will be charged the same cancellation fee.
  • Late Arrival: Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may be refused service and charged the no-show fee.
Laser Treatment Guidelines
  • Arrive with no makeup, lotion, oils, or deodorant on the treatment area. 
  • Shave 24–48 hours before your appointment.
  • No antibiotics within 2 weeks before or 1 week after treatment.
  • Avoid iron supplements 72 hours before and after.
  • No sun exposure, sunscreen lapses, or sunless tanners for 2 weeks before and after. Skin must be at its natural tone.
  • Cannot be performed if pregnant, nursing, or pursuing fertility treatment.
Memberships & Plans
  • Auto-Renewal: Memberships renew automatically unless canceled in writing at least 30 days before the next billing cycle.
  • Early Termination: Canceling a membership or plan early results in forfeiture of all unused sessions or credits. No prorated refunds.
  • Medical Freeze: Plans may be frozen for valid medical reasons with provider documentation (up to 3 months, extendable to 6). Pregnancy-related freezes may be extended as needed.
  • Touch-Ups: Laser plan clients receive one complimentary annual touch-up after completing the 18-month program.
Photography & Privacy
  • Before/After Photos: SKYN MD may capture treatment photos or videos to track results. These may be used in marketing unless you request otherwise in writing.
  • Confidentiality: All patient information is protected under HIPAA compliance.
Disclaimers & Rights
  • Results: Outcomes vary by individual and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Right to Refuse: SKYN MD reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsafe, non-compliant, or not in your best interest.
